Use the router LED color and blinking pattern to understand connection, setup and device status.
Mercku routers use LED colors and blinking patterns to show Internet, Mesh, startup, reset and update status.
The LED can indicate whether the router has a working Internet connection.
Blinking patterns can indicate Mesh setup or connection quality.
The LED also changes during factory reset, reboot and firmware update operations.
Do not use the LED table for one product model to diagnose a different model. Use the section that matches your device.
The following LED meanings are documented for the standard M2 / Bee product family.
| Color | Pattern | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Red | Solid | No Internet connection |
| Red | Blinking | Interaction in progress, such as adding a node, firmware update or reboot |
| Red | Fast blinking | Restoring factory settings |
| Green | Solid | Stable network connection |
| Green | Blinking | Poor Mesh connection |
The standard M6a documentation uses a different LED color scheme from the M2 / Bee family.
| Status | M6a LED |
|---|---|
| Powering on | Red, solid |
| Internet connected | White, solid |
| No Internet | Orange, solid |
| Unstable network connection | Orange |
| Mesh setup in progress | Blue, blinking |
| Rebooting | Red, slow blinking |
| Factory reset | Red, fast blinking |
| Firmware update | Red, slow blinking |
No. LED behavior differs between product models. For example, M2 / Bee and M6a use different color definitions.
Fast red blinking indicates that the router is restoring factory settings.
A solid white LED indicates that the M6a has an Internet connection.
A solid orange LED indicates that the M6a does not have an Internet connection.
Check the product-specific user guide or contact Mercku Support for the LED definition for your model.
