Forward selected incoming network connections to a specific device on your local network.
Port Forwarding directs selected incoming connections from the WAN to a chosen device and port on your local network.
Forward traffic to the local IP address of the device that should receive the connection.
Configure the external and local port or port range used by the rule.
Mercku configuration supports TCP, UDP, or TCP & UDP.
Port Forwarding is available from Router Web.
Go to:
Advanced Settings → Port Forwarding
Before creating a rule, identify the local IP address of the device that should receive the forwarded connection.
When creating a Port Forwarding rule, provide the information required to match the incoming connection and send it to the correct local device.
Use a clear name so you can identify the purpose of the rule later.
Specify the local device IP address and the local destination port or port range.
The rule can define the remote address and external port or port range used to match incoming traffic. A remote address of 0.0.0.0 represents the default unrestricted remote address in the underlying configuration.
Select TCP & UDP, TCP, or UDP according to the service you are configuring.
Mercku’s Port Forwarding configuration includes the following rule information.
Identifies the Port Forwarding rule.
Controls whether the rule is active.
The local destination device address.
The destination port or port range on the local device.
The external port or port range matched by the rule.
TCP & UDP, TCP, or UDP.
If the destination device’s local IP address changes, the Port Forwarding rule may no longer point to the intended device. A Static DHCP Lease can help keep a device on a consistent local IP.
Go to Advanced Settings → Port Forwarding in Router Web.
The Mercku configuration supports TCP & UDP, TCP, and UDP.
The rule forwards traffic to a specific local IP address. If that address changes, the rule may point to the wrong destination or stop working as intended.
No. Port Forwarding creates specific forwarding rules. DMZ Host is a separate advanced feature and should only be used when you understand its broader exposure.
